Dice.

Doesn’t matter how old you are, or what sort of games you enjoy playing, chances are you’ve rolled dice at some point in your life. Whether used for a friendly game of Settlers of Catan, or a not-so-friendly game of Monopoly, dice are and have always been prevalent in the world of games. Board games, card games, even gambling! These funky shapes with various numbers, or sometimes shapes, are popular in our lives.

In the world of TTRPGs (that’s tabletop roleplaying games), dice rule supreme. They’re what determines if our characters succeed in slaying the villain, or slipping and falling to their doom. And to every player out there there is a preference of what type of dice they like to use. What do your dice say about you?

Plastic Dice

The most common and basic of the group, you value fun over flash! Plastic dice are the most dependable out there, just like you are. You either have a dozen full sets, or a dozen mismatched ones, but the chaos does nothing to damper your spirits. Like your favorite pair of jeans or your go-to pizza order, you love ol’ simple and reliable. Life is already complicated, so why not just go with the flow? As long as you’re having fun with friends, you don’t care how the game goes; you’re not even afraid to use your supposedly cursed d20 for the drama! The true dice hoarder of the group, every single one of your dice is loved and cherished, even when they roll a nat 1. Especially when they roll a nat 1!

Glitter, sparkles, swirls of color, little rubber ducks or the tiniest of preserved flowers. Resin dice have it all, and then some. You choose your dice on one thing and one thing only: vibes. Whether it’s a set of dice based on the color scheme of your favorite popular fantasy character, or some that definitely remind you of some beloved candy, your dice are an extension of yourself. You’re the kind of person who talks to your dice before every game, and scolds them when they act up. Your alignment? Chaotic Fabulous.

You and your dice are art, even if you have to carry them in a specially made box and roll them on a velvet pillow. You live for the drama, the suspense, the angst. You are cool under pressure, free from imperfections, and tend to sparkle even in the most dire circumstances. Elegance is your weapon, and fashion your shield.
